Do you find people ask you constantly whether you are busy? And if the answer is yes, being busy automatically equates with being happy?
Well, I’ve been busy all my life, but whether I have felt fit and at peace with myself is another issue. We know that if we train right, eat correctly, and have a healthy spirit, our quality of life will be enriched. There is a need however, to take time out and spend time with the people we love. Both Corrine and myself are busy people, always dealing with clients, children(seven between us), and business.
This week we found ourselves on a sunny day in London in the same place, at the same time and having 2 whole hours to sit in a cafe and have lunch(unbelievable!) It was more refreshing for the soul than anything else.
I went back to work feeling positive, physically rejuvenated, and at peace. After 13 years together, I rediscovered why I fell in love with her and why I have faith. I’m not trying to preach about religion or Zen, I am however, saying it’s healthy for the body and the soul to stop being busy once in a while and spend some quality time with the one you love. It will be worth it!
